Fascinating framed picture of soldiers most likely from WW1. I think they are probably overseas naval but not sure which country. Most likely overseas for USA but not sure which type of ship they would have been on.
I love pictures like this! My son helped me a lot because he loves history and can talk about this (WW1 and 2) all day!
The woman was probably a medical naval nurse?
Okay so the back of the frame was removed and I did take a picture of it and is seen in the last image. It’s a reprint done by Wolfe’s photography here in Topeka Kansas back in December of 2012. There aren’t any names except you can see the digital name of the picture with the last name of Jones and the date.
The picture looks to be glued to the glass. I inspected it and it is stuck to the glass. You can see a bit of residue on the upper left corner.
