    Werner "Vati" Molders was the first pilot in history to score 100 aerial victories and beat the record held by the famous "Red Baron".
    On 7 August 1941, he was appointed Inspector of Fighters, which meant he was responsible for deciding the ongoing tactical and operational doctrine of the Luftwaffe's fighter arm.
