Developed for use where large volumes of storage is required the Vista Array of Independent Disks Ethernet enabled (VAIDe) delivers more storage capacity, functionality and performance at a lower price than any other storage system on the market today. The VAIDe can hold between two and eight Hard Disk Drives (HDD’s) within its chassis. If installed with eight 250GB HDDs, the VAIDe will provide 2TB of storage space in total. This equates to approximately six months of recording time at 5 pictures per second (PPS) update. Upgrading the VAIDe is easy. Simply start with the storage you need and should you wish to expand the system simply purchase the relevant number of HDDs (up to eight per system). The VAIDe will also be compatible with future, larger HDD storage sizes. Archived video data can be reviewed locally through a Triplex™ Columbus or remotely via WaveReader software on a 10/100BaseT Ethernet network.
