Vintage Pewter Half-Pint Mug

Description

This is a vintage half-pint pewter mug, maker unknown.
Although unable to identify the maker of this pewter piece there is a stamped maker’s mark in a cloverleaf pattern displaying a crown, the initial G, the initial N and a circle with a cross.
A capacity mark, “1/2 Pint”, is also stamped into the exterior of the mug.
There is another unidentified mark above the capacity mark, which could be a head-shaped duty mark, or just a blemish.
This diminutive mug measures approximately 3 ½” in height and 4 ½” in width, including handle.
It features a nicely shaped handle with thumb hold, a molded girdle below the capacity mark and raised bands near the base.
This pewter mug shows typical signs of age, such as wear, scuffs, scratches and discoloration.
Despite these minor flaws it is in very good condition with no evidence of damage.
