This is a very collectable, original Kliban Cat Mug, signed B. Kliban, made in Staffordshire England in 1979.
Released in 1979.
On this "Chef Cat!" mug, his signature black and white and orange tabby cat has donned a chef's hat and apron to fry up a nice mouse souffle.
The original coffee mugs were made by Kiln Craft England and have white base and white inside, (not colored). The originals were signed B. Kliban, by Bernard himself. All the newer items are marked JKliban or BKcats, his widow who started marketing Bernard Kliban's cat items on her own after his death in the 80's.
Mug measures 3.5" tall x 3" diameter

There are no signs of chips, cracks or crazing. There are some signs of spoon scratches on the bottom inside portion of the mug.
