Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Emerald Green and Emerald Green AB Color - Glass Beads and Pearls - Faceted Crystal Beads -
22" Graduated Single Strand Art Glass, Green Pearls and Faceted Crystal Bead Necklace.
VERY RARE DESIGN & EXTREMELY RARE COLORS! - EXCELLENT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE!
This graceful and elegant necklace dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as as a uniform
22" single strand of  art glass beads, faceted crystal beads and green pearls, detailed with small crystal rondells, caviar beads, filigree caps and a floral bead cluster clasp. The necklace is done in a series of dazzling and intense emerald green art glass beads, faceted emerald green AB crystal beads and pale green pearls set with rhodium plated fittings and mounts.
The necklace is in excellent condition showing normal use all the original beads, none missing or replaced. There is a small loss to the finish on several of the green pearls, this is minor and does not detract in the least.
The necklace is marked on the back of the clasp, Sherman in script letters.
SHERMAN
Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. "Jewels of Elegance" by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981.
