    Description

Operate a store using MTI display units?  Do you have trouble keeping the phones fully charged?  If so, these little guys will be your savior!  Just remove the three screws on the "puck" behind the cell phone and replace the stock MTI PCB with the OvrRide PCB, reassemble, done!  Now you can plug in the end of the USB cable that used to go into the "Freedom LP3 alarm module 8-POS into any USB charger!
The stock MTI Freedom L3 is designed to stop the charging for various reasons (alarm triggered). We all know their alarms are prone to false alarm!  The stock PCB also prevents the use of inexpensive, more powerful, aftermarket USB wall chargers. To make matters worse, even if you do comply to all the requirements to get your phone to charge at all, the stock system is not equipped to charge today's more powerful cell phones.
The OvrRide is more then just a clever pass-through bypass, it has embedded resistance for the data lines.  This means it will charge all phones Apple and Android at the fastest possible rates.  However, it is not capable of the proprietary fast charging protocols.  We find that fast charging is not necessary and causes extra stress to the phone's battery anyhow.  The stock MTI PCB uses a Mini USB connector as the output for charging (5 volt).  Mini USB's are very rare.  Did they do this on purpose to keep you buying there overpriced charge cords?  The Stock MTI Micro USB only provides 3.3 Volts for use with their proprietary accessory sensors.  Hmm why not make it 5 volts for easy access to charging cables?  Oh yeah, that would enable you to get inexpensive charge cables and not pay them 10 bucks a pop.  The OvrRide solves that problem as well.  The Micro USB also provides the proper 5 volt power for charging and also provides the data lines the proper resistance necessary to charge with more power so your phones stay charged even when running the battery draining demo loops!  Pop in an OvrRide and just head over to Ali Express and buy your charge cables for  each.  Of course the Mini USB socket on the OvrRide still works with the stock MTI charge cables.
Sound too good to be true?  Well there is one drawback (or blessing) OvrRide also bypasses the alarm system.  However,  there are some charge detection alarm apps available for that now days.
