Mauhjold Cross
Nearly 200 carved crosses have survived on the Isle of Man dating from the Celtic early Christian period in the 7th century and through the period of the Viking settlement up to the early 11th century. The interlinked ring design forming the shafts of Scandinavian (Viking) influence. The wheel cross at the top of the cross was originally a symbol of Christ derived from chi-rho monogram although it is likely that the outer circle came to symbolize heaven (in conforming with ancient symbolism). Christ in the center of heaven represented by the inner circle.

Due to the hand casting and proprietary staining process, each of my plaques is unique. Each cross comes with a hanger embedded in the stone. The cross comes with a descriptive tag describing the original stone, explanation of the design or information on where the cross is located.

We ship every day Monday - Friday. If you order before 9:00am CST most orders will be shipped that day. Some of our items from the manufacture and have different shipping times. If an item arrives damaged send me a message, (do not return the item unless requested), please send pictures of all sides of the packaging, the inside with the packing materials, and the damage of the item itself. Also please keep all original packaging and items for carrier insurance claim as the carrier may ask for it to inspect to process the claim. If pictures are not sent or item is not kept for the carrier then no refund will be issued.
If an item is not received or seems to be no tracking scans updated by the carrier please message me and I will be happy to put in a tracking case with the carrier that normally gets it moving again within a few days.
Most all the items are vintage and or have been used or played with previously (unless marked as new). Most items come from Estate, Yard Sales, Flea Markets ETC... so I do not know the history behind the items. THAT MEANS THEY ARE USED NOT PERFECT, ITEMS ARE FOUND AS IS AND SOLD AS IS. I DO MY BEST TO INFORM IF ITEMS ARE BROKEN OR HAVE CHIPS, NEED REPAIR ETC. Batteries are not included.
