A single three-point belt, the one installed in your car by the manufacturer is anchored to the car’s B-pillar. It’s not possible to do that with4- or 5-point racing-style harnesses - the shoulder belts need to be anchored directly behind the driver’s shoulders to work properly in case of an accident, so they pull straight back, not down or at an angle to the side. Usually, this is accomplished by welding an appropriate bar to the roll cage. If your car is street-driven or is only used in non-sanctioned events like autocrosses or track days, you may not have a roll cage. Your solution is Cipher Auto’s Harness Bar. It attaches to the car’s original seatbelt mounting points, and provides correctly-positioned attachment points for the shoulder harnesses for both driver and passenger.
