Description
Between 1902 and 1910, an unknown French Silversmith produced a silver
Crucifix with Lilies that is a masterpiece of religious art. The
symbolic use of lilies, leaves and stems with a 360 degree Corpus of
Jesus is unequaled among other crucifixes known to exist. Each new
Crucifix with Lilies is created using a mold produced directly from the
original. The Crucifix with Lilies is made of .925 Sterling Silver
which is tarnish proof and is hand antiqued to bring out the details of
the sculpture. The measurements and weight of the Crucifix with Lilies
are: bottom to top of bail is 4 3/8 inches, cross height is 3 13/16
inches, cross width is 2 1/4 inches, width of cross is 3/8 inches,
Corpus height is 1 5/16 inches, width measured from the outside of the
hands is 1 1/8 inches, weight is 40 grams, chain weight is 17 grams and
the chain is 30 inches and is a special Italian chain ordered to match
the Crucifix with Lilies. The chain does not have a clasp. The new
reproduction of the original Crucifix with Lilies is 3.6 percent smaller
than the original. Each Crucifix with Lilies is Hallmarked (HDR) and
serial numbered with notation that it is made in the United States of
America.
