Exquisite 1958 COPPOLA E TOPPO clear and shades of green crystal bead leaf cufflinks. Features hand-strung dimensional shades of green ombre and clear crystals. Antiqued gold-plated or bronze metal base.
Measure 2 1/4"L.
Signed MADE IN ITALY BY COPPOLA E TOPPO.
Very good to excellent vintage condition. The crystals are light refractive and shimmery. Heirloom quality, to be treasured for decades!

COPPOLA E TOPPO: 1960 - 1970s (Italy)
The Coppola e Toppo company was formed in the late 1940′s by brother and sister designer duo, Bruno Coppola and Lydia Toppo in Milan, Italy. After small commissions for Dior and Balenciaga, Elsa Schiaparelli commissioned a line of faux coral bead jewelry, which launched them to the top of the couture fashion echelon. Pucci and Valentino followed with more commissions. This allowed them to increase the number of their jewelry designs under their own trademark, “Made in Italy by Coppola e Toppo”.
Lydia Coppola founded the Coppola e Toppo created jewelry pieces of dramatic faceted glass rhinestones and crystals, plastic beads, faux pearls, and imitation seed pearls on gold plated metal or strung on brass wire tightly wrapped and clustered together and included ornamental clasps. Mark: "Made in Italy By Coppola e Toppo" and on each earring, a cutout star is pierced into the clip metal. The company ceased production in the 1970s.
