    The badges were made in 1939 for Russian Participants in the Spanish Civil War:
    first degree, with a sword, - for participants in combat.
    Second degree - without a sword, for those who assisted them in Germany and Belgium without taking part in the battles.
    The badge is a shield, covered with white enamel and crossed diagonally by a ribbon of the Spanish flag (red yellow red). On the shield is a golden double-headed eagle under three imperial crowns. Under the shield is a sword with the handle down. The height of the sign is 5 cm, the width of the shield is 3 cm.
