Set of 4 Vibrant Vintage Japanese Lusterware German Beer Stein Ceramic Mugs
Handpainted and handcrafted with embossed village Musical wooded scenes all around the mugs and marked Japan on the bottoms.
Original stickers have been peeled off. Internet researched show that they could very well have been from one of these companies
Empress by Haruta/Sanyo/ Nikoniko Imports.
These are lusterware with peach tone around rim and base. Glazed.
Approximate measurements are height = 6 Inches and Rim = 3 inches.
They are probably manufactured around 1940s.
Scenes depicted
(1) Victorian Lady dancing to a fiddle or flute player/ musician
(2) Lady with feathered hat and scarf wih Playing lab Dog watching A hunter came back with a catch rabbit / hare. Man holding rabbit by the ears.
(3) Man with red Hat with hunting gun/ rifle spotting a jumping rabbit
(4) Man and woman dancing  in the open
All four have the same running theme of German Village on one side. They are of the same height and width and similar in their subtle details alike "wood" scupltured holders with "vines" and similar area with mountains and cottages with slight painting difference. Making them a beautiful SET with an underlying similar theme of these village/ country people and their lifestyle.
Multi colored with peach lusterware on base and rim. Vibrant and full of life.
