    Description

    GEORGE F. JOWETT BODY BUILDER. WRESTLER AND WEIGHT LIFTER FANCY ADVERTISING BROCHURE Dated 1930. 32 pages. 8 3/4” X 5 7/8”. Jowett was a famous body builder who offered courses to improve strength and health. With profuse photos of his students including weight lifters, body builders, wrestlers etc. Jowett was the world's welter weight wrestling champ at the age of 17. The brochure also includes photos of Herman Gorner worlds strongest man and Jim Londos worlds wrestling champ. The back cover shows all of the medals won by Jowett. He also sold equipment like barbells. In VG+ condition with one page having a 1” closed tear and crease but all other pages and the covers are VG+ with NO soiling, stains, marks etc. The front cover has a light corner crease and a very tiny chip.Tightly bound with no loose pages and nothing cut out or removed.
