1898 Russian Imperial Benevolent Society Jetton
Rare Russian Antique Jetton Badge. Made from silver,
double headed Russian Imperial Eagle in the center.
1898 Imperial Russian silver award jetton / badge.
As awarded by the Imperial Philanthropic Society
For Vocational Education of Poor Children. Silver-84,
Double-headed Eagle.
Original Crown suspension with silver-84 connecting link.
Measures: 40.43 mm x 21.70 mm. 1 3/4 x1 5/16” approximately.
Reverse is hallmarked for silver content "84", and Cyrillic initial
maker mark, unclear. Both the badge & silver ring are hallmarked.
Central plaque is engraved to the recipient name:
"U. T. Berilevich", with date 20 Dec 1898.
This silver jetton has crisp details, and overall in very good
condition with, small scuff mark on the back where the date
is engraved. I was unable o get a great photo of the front to
show the good detailing.
Original and unique, in good condition, look at the pictures.
