    Description

    1851 Honduras Provisional 4 reales graded AU53 (Top grade in PCGS census). This very crude issue is rarely seen with the original silvering over the debased silver. What makes this example exceptional is that the silvering developed a dramatic shimmering golden toning over the past two centuries and the coin looks stunning next to the dark brown examples you will usually see. Furthermore, the strike is exceptional for the type, with almost every detail visible.
