Description

This is for a Franklin Mint / Armour Diecast #98034 1/48 McDonnell Douglas US Navy F-4 Phantom II, VF-51 "Screaming Eagles" CAG (Commander Air Group) Diecast replica. The US Navy Squadron VF-51 "Screaming Eagles" had some of the most striking markings of any other F-4 Phantom squadron to date and it is still hard to beat. This F-4B Phantom served aboard the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam Conflict and the squadron scored a slew of air to air victories.
This large and heavy diecast replica has a detailed cockpit, accurate armament, rubber tires and the correct short nozzle J-79 turbojets. This F-4 was part of my personal collection and was
kept in a climate-controlled room in a non-smoking house.
This Phantom is in excellent
condition
, however, the
infrared
nose seeker is missing which was lost during a house move. However, it was never
toyed or mishandled and has only been displayed.
